Our sheds are fortified with advanced security features. Externally, they utilise galvanised T-hinges with tamper-proof screws. Internally, a robust long-throw bolt lock with hardened steel and four keys secures the door. Double-door models have 100mm galvanised drop bolts for additional safety.
The sheds are covered with timber cladding, shielded by a roof overhang to deter forced entry. Inside, a 32mm galvanised steel SecureBar allows for a secure anchor point using locks or chains.

We have four bike sheds, all with different applications in mind:
Classic Bike Shed
Compact and ideal for front gardens
The Classic is designed with a low roof suitable for front garden spaces without sacrificing aesthetics. It’s highly compact, with bikes loaded in front of each other to maximise space.
Slot-in Bike Shed
Slot-in Bike Shed
The Slot In is designed to access each bike individually. It features a slightly higher roof and larger footprint than The Classic, making it suitable for back gardens or large front gardens.
Vertical Bike Shed
Hang your bikes vertically, side by side.
The Vertical is designed to store bikes upright. Its small footprint makes it ideal for small back gardens; however, it is relatively tall, making it unsuitable for most front gardens.
The Cargo
Ideal for large sized bikes
The Cargo is designed to store large or extra-large cargo bikes. Its sliding roof and secure bar allow for easy and secure parking.

How Big are Your Bike Sheds?
Our bike sheds can store up to six bikes, with bespoke options available for larger projects. We’ve built custom bike storage sheds holding up to 20 bikes.
How Secure are Your Bike Sheds?
We have worked hard to improve our bike shed designs over the years to make security a top priority. We build security into our sheds layer by layer. Not only does this delay intrusion, but it also makes a silent attack virtually impossible.
Our STANDARD security features include:
- Door hinges are heavy-duty galvanised T-hinges, fitted externally using galvanised steel security screws. A pair of 200m galvanised bolts lock off the secondary door internally. Turning the key on the primary door extends a hardened steel long-throw bolt behind the secondary door. The lock itself is coach bolted to the door frame to deter the use of crowbars.
- Every Brighton Bike Shed is equipped with our SecureBar as standard. The SecureBar is a thick-walled galvanised steel tube that is fitted into the frame on the back shed wall. It would require noisy power tools to cut through it. Our SecureBar is easy to lock bikes to using your D-locks (Classic, Vertical units), or a security chain and padlock that runs through all the bikes. (Or best of all, a combination of both chain and D-locks).
Timber cladding is firmly nailed on in three rows. Its removal is made impossible by the roof overhang, which clamps the cladding in place around the top. Slatted cladding is given an additional run of lost head screws alongside the existing screws to deter the prising off of slats. The doors are given an extra layer of fixings and are nailed through the back and front.
Do You Offer Bike Shed Installation?
Yes, we offer installation for all of our bike storage sheds, within a certain range from our Sussex workshop. Within ten days of ordering your shed, you will receive an email with the date of installation, as well as instructions on how to prepare your site.
- Installations start between 8 am and 4 pm.
- You will receive an email notification from us when the team is on their way on the day.
- If access to the site is through the house (back garden install), please ensure that a responsible person is at your home for the duration of the installation, which usually takes between 2 and 4 hours.
- If there is a side access or the shed is to be sited in a front garden, you don’t have to be at home during the installation once you have confirmed the location for the shed with us.
- You will need to have the location cleared and made ready on the day we arrive. Find out more about preparing your bike storage shed base here.
- On completion, we will post the set of keys for the bike shed through your letterbox.
- We use cordless power tools, so we won’t need access to your house.

How Long Will It Take for My Bike Shed To Arrive?
Please note that our current lead time for bike storage sheds is 8–12 weeks from the date of order. This can vary based on demand, so please check the store notice at the top of this page for the most up-to-date lead times.
Do Your Bike Sheds Come with a Guarantee?
We offer a limited 5-year Guarantee on all of our bike sheds, covering malfunction of the material and manufacturing defects (the same applies to installation faults if the shed is installed by our team).
If you have spotted an issue with your bike shed, please send us an email with photos, and we will arrange a suitable date with you to fix the issue. If your product is a Self-Assembly, then the issue may be due to incorrect installation. In these cases, we will do our utmost to help you fix the issue by email and over the telephone.

Are Your Bike Sheds Suitable for Expensive Bikes?
Security in our bike sheds is not based on a single feature. A well-designed bike storage shed combines strong timber construction, reinforced doors, quality fixings, and internal locking points that allow bikes to be secured inside the shed. Breaking into many layers of slats is also incredibly noisy, deterring potential attention further.
Our layered approach helps deter both forced entry and opportunistic theft, which is particularly important when storing high-value bicycles.
Can I Store E-Bikes in Your Bike Storage Sheds?
Yes, storing E-Bikes in our bike storage sheds is recommended. Just remember to take your battery inside in between uses for charging.
A mains power socket can be easily installed in your bike storage shed by a qualified electrician.
Can a Wooden Bike Shed Withstand Year-Round UK Weather?
Yes. Our wooden bike sheds are built using pressure-treated C24 UK timber and weather-resistant roof options, including felt and living green roofs. When installed on a solid, level base, they are designed to protect bikes from rain, wind, and seasonal temperature changes throughout the year, making them suitable for long-term outdoor use.
