Our sheds are fortified with advanced security features. Externally, they utilize galvanised T-hinges with tamper-proof screws. Internally, a robust long-throw bolt lock with hardened steel and four keys secures the door. Double-door models have 100mm galvanised drop bolts for additional safety.
The sheds are covered with triple-layered timber cladding, shielded by a roof overhang to deter forced entry. Inside, a 32mm galvanised steel SecureBar allows for secure bike storage using locks or chains.

What Size Recycling Boxes Fit Inside?
Our sheds are designed to hold standard UK kerbside recycling boxes. The width adjusts based on how many boxes you choose to store. Roof overhangs and guttering should be considered when measuring your final space. If you need confirmation for a specific council-issued box size, contact us, and we can advise before you order.
How Durable Are Your Recycling Box Sheds?
Each shed uses solid 20 mm timber cladding, galvanised fixings and a reinforced roof capable of supporting weight. These materials ensure long term protection from wind, rain and day-to-day use. With minimal maintenance, the timber will weather attractively over time.
How Much Space Is Inside the Recycling Box Shed?
Most UK recycling boxes stack neatly on the internal base with extra space above for dropping materials in without needing to remove the box. Choose between 2, 4 and 6 box capacity depending on your recycling routines.
How Does the Visualiser Tool Work?
Click “Design your shed now” to open our configuration tool. After choosing your options, you can preview the shed in your own outdoor space through our AR tool by scanning the QR code.
If you need a second opinion, whether your partner, family member or friend, simply click the share button and send a version of the final configuration to whoever you wish to see it.
Can I Assemble the Shed Myself?
Most customers find installing the storage for their recycling bins straightforward with basic tools. Panels are pre-assembled, speeding up the build. If you would like to view the PDF instructions before deciding, we can send them by email.
If self-assembly is something you might struggle with, we recommend selecting our installation service. This service is available for certain locations across the southeast and can be selected at checkout if applicable.
What are the Lead Times on Your Storage for Recycle Bins?
As all of our recycling bin sheds are custom-built, lead times are typically 8–10 weeks, depending on demand. This may extend to 12 weeks during peak periods. You will receive an estimated installation or delivery date after ordering.
Do You Offer a Guarantee?
If an issue arises, email photos to our team. We will arrange a repair visit or guide you through fixes where appropriate. For self-assembled products, we provide remote support. Please read our Terms & Conditions for full Guarantee terms.
Can I Order a Bespoke Size?
Yes. If your recycling boxes or available space are non-standard, send us photos and measurements so that we can produce a custom quotation.
If you are unsure, please use our bespoke enquiry form or email us at info@brightonbikesheds.co.uk with an image or two of the space. Please also include a description of your storage needs, dimensions (WxDxH), and your postcode. If you send a photo or a quick sketch of the layout, that really helps.
We’ll reply with a free detailed quotation. If you’re happy to proceed, just reply to confirm your order, and we’ll send you an invoice for the agreed cost. Once we have received your payment, you will receive an installation date. Your shed will be built in our workshop and delivered and installed typically within 8 weeks.
Can the Shed Be Placed Against a Wall?
Yes, as long as the gutter can drain correctly, you can situate your recycling bin storage shed against a wall. Leave a small ventilation gap behind the unit to protect the timber and allow airflow.
