The inner SecureBar is fitted in our small bike sheds as standard, allowing you to internally D-lock your bike. Lock away expensive bikes and keep them sheltered from the elements.

High-Security Bike Storage Sheds

Heavy-Duty Door Hinges – Each bike storage shed uses galvanised T-hinges fixed externally with galvanised steel security screws for long-term durability.
Internal Bolt Locking System – A pair of 200 mm galvanised bolts secures the secondary door internally, while the leading door is backed by a hardened steel long-throw bolt keyed lock for added strength.
Bolted Door Frame – The door frame is reinforced with timber lock bolts to resist leverage from tools such as crowbars.
SecureBar System – A thick-walled galvanised steel tube, integrated into the back wall of the bike storage shed, offers a solid anchor point. Bikes can be locked directly to the SecureBar using D-locks or heavy-duty chains.
Reinforced Timber Cladding – The timber cladding is fixed firmly in three rows, with a roof overhang that clamps it in place to prevent removal. Slatted panels include an extra line of lost-head screws to stop slats from being prised off.
Enhanced Door Fixings – Shed doors include an additional layer of fixings, nailed through both the back and front panels to strengthen the overall structure.

Side Storage

Need more room? Add side storage to your bike storage shed, extending to either the left or right. Use it as a secure, lockable space for tools, garden equipment, or anything else you need to store safely.

We offer our three most popular side storage sizes:

Small – (600mm) with a single door

Medium – (1200mm)

Large – (2000mm) which is actually a second Classic, so you can double up on bike storage.

We build these units with a solid internal partition between the units, and a unified roof (felt or green), making it both robust and great to look at.

Please note: all references to ‘left’ or ‘right’ sides are when standing in front of the shed, looking at the front doors.

Bin Storage

Keep your garden tidy with integrated bin storage. Designed to blend perfectly with your Classic bike shed, this option fits two or three bins and is available with an open-top design.

Log Storage

Extend the roof and walls of your small bike storage shed by 400 mm to create a ventilated log store. Treated timber slats allow airflow and keep your logs dry all year round.

Bay Window

Perfect for smaller gardens, this design makes use of the angled space behind a bay window, giving you practical bike storage where a standard shed for a bike wouldn’t fit.

Plus Height

Increase the height of your Classic Shed by 400 mm to add a convenient top shelf for helmets, accessories, and extra storage above your bikes.

Reverse Pitch Proof

When your Classic Bike Shed sits against a wall, choose a reverse-pitch roof that channels rainwater forward and away from the house for better drainage.

Scottish Larch

Fixed with a ‘shadow gap’ profile. Our signature cladding, with natural durability, aesthetics, affordability and sustainability.

Pine Slats

Fixed with 6mm gaps. The effect is architecturally striking, creating a strong light and shade contrast, and fits seamlessly with contemporary garden design.

Cedar Slats

Fixed with 6mm gaps. The tightness of the grain, natural durability and refined appearance make western red cedar an extremely high-quality option.

Pine T&G

Machined profile, this cladding offers a more precise look. This is the option if you intend to paint your cladding, or it can be left to weather to a silver grey.

Cedar T&G

This cladding has a contemporary premium look that enhances any garden. Over time western red cedar will weather to a beautiful silver-grey colour.

Painted Slats - Grey

Fixed with 6mm gaps. The slats are individually painted in a breathable exterior paint. A modern and striking shade of grey.

We offer full installation if you’re based in the South East of England and surrounding areas. This is charged at £359.00 – for large volume orders, additional charges may be applied.

We deliver for self-assembly everywhere within Mainland UK for FREE (except for the UK islands)

We aim to deliver/install within 8 weeks from receipt of your order. This can extend to 12 weeks during higher demand periods.

Is The Classic Bike Shed right for me?

If you need outdoor bike storage for a small space, the Classic is an ideal choice. Its compact shape, low roof, and double-door design make it perfect for front gardens or tight outdoor areas. What Size Are the Classic Bike Storage Sheds?

The Classic bike storage shed measures 1.35 m high and 2 m wide, with the depth depending on how many bikes you need to store:

1 bike – 0.8 m
2 bikes – 0.9 m
3 bikes – 1 m
4 bikes – 1.15 m
5 bikes – 1.25 m
6 bikes – 1.35 m

Roof overhangs add 40 mm on each side and front, plus 80 mm of guttering at the rear. Measure your space carefully before ordering.

Is The Classic Bike Shed Secure?

Yes. Each Classic Bike Shed is built with robust, layered protection that makes forced or silent entry extremely difficult.

Key security features include:

Galvanised Hinges and Bolts: Heavy-duty T-hinges, galvanised security screws, and internal 200 mm locking bolts.
SecureBar System: A thick-walled galvanised steel bar built into the rear frame for locking bikes with D-locks or chains.
Reinforced Cladding: Triple-row nailing and hidden fixings to prevent panel removal.

Are Your Bike Storage Sheds Weatherproof?

Yes. Our bike sheds are made from pressure-treated C24 timber, galvanised fittings, and water-resistant roofing materials. Each unit is designed to protect your bikes from rain, wind, and year-round UK weather.

Do I Need Planning Permission for a Bike Storage Shed?

Most customers don’t require planning permission for a small bike shed installed in a garden or in front of their house. However, if your property is listed or in a conservation area, or the shed exceeds standard height limits, check with your local planning office first.

Can the Bike Shed Be Placed on Any Surface?

We recommend installing your bike storage shed on a flat, solid surface such as concrete, paving slabs, or decking. This ensures stability and prevents moisture build-up under the base. Avoid placing directly on grass or soil.

How Easy Is It to Self-Assemble the Classic Shed?

Assembly is straightforward for anyone with basic DIY experience and an 18 V drill. Most parts are pre-assembled, so a standard Classic Bike Shed takes around 3–4 hours to build. A detailed instruction guide is included, and we can email a PDF version on request.

Do You Offer Installation on all Bike Storage Sheds?

Yes. Our installation service covers the South East and nearby areas, starting at £359.00 for The Classic. Larger or bespoke sheds may incur additional installation costs, which are shown at checkout.

What Is the Lead Time on Ordering a Bike Shed?

Standard lead time is 8–10 weeks from order to delivery or installation. During busier months, this may extend to 12 weeks. You’ll receive confirmation and an estimated delivery date once your order is placed.

Can I Make a Bespoke Order?

Yes. We can build custom sizes or finishes to match your space. Complete our bespoke enquiry form or email info@brightonbikesheds.co.uk with photos, measurements, and details of your storage needs. We’ll provide a free quotation before you order.

Do You Offer a Guarantee on Your Bike Storage Sheds?
